Desk Adornment: Fighting Evil by Moonlight

What desk would be complete without random super-hero//heroine trinkets? I know mine wouldn’t. I have been a hardcore Sailor Moon fan since I was in middle school. These ladies never cease to bring a smile to my face. I am a big-time anime nerd and my life wouldn’t be complete without my Sailor MoonΒ key chains, Sailor Moon wall-scroll, and complete DVD series!

Think I’m a big enough dork yet? Just wait: I also have Sailor Moon mangas, Sailor Moon drawing RPG books, and Sailor Moon playing cards. I was also Sailor Moon for Halloween in 7th grade. Hair up in odango buns and everything (my real hair).Β Yep. It’s bad. Now, granted, it’s not all I draw or think about anymore, but when I was a young, prepubescent girl, Tsukino Usagi was my hero! (Or Serena for you dub fans).

These key chains sit above my desktop where I can see them and be inspired by their awesomeness.

What dorky or geeky trinkets do you keep on YOUR desk? I’d love to hear. You know you have something! Share!

Thanks for stopping by today, folks!

Changes to the Blog!

Happy Saturday, all!

WOW. I slept in really late, due to the fact that I stayed up past 1 AM reading a Zoe Winter’s book. I am coming to you (sleepy-eyed) this morning to announce some fun and exciting changes to the blog!

“But it looks the same!” you might protest. Look closer. You’ll see on my pages above the entries that there is now a News! page and a Books page! As well, in the drop down menu beneath Books is the Tales from Niflheim page. Time is quickly moving towards my deadline, which is August 31st! My first book should be available on Amazon and the Smashwords distribution sites by Fall 2012! As soon as I know it’s available on those sites, I’ll be having some release week excitement on the blog!

Now, these pages are not super thrilling at the moment, because I am still gathering the material I’d like to put on those pages. As soon as I’m ready, though, I’ll update them and make them look shiny (yes, that’s a Firefly reference.)

Also new is the Facebook Fan Page link to the right on the sidebar. It’s underneath the Twitter feed. Go ahead. Go check it out! You know you want to. πŸ™‚

I am in sort of a surreal state of mind right now. I am actually on track to meet my deadline, I am actively prepping my novel for publishing, and my life-long dream is about to come true! SO exciting! *little girl squeal ensues*

Have a very happy Saturday!
